Holiday Maple Fruit Salad

Comments are Disabled

One of my favorite dishes for holiday eating is a big bowl of fruit. I think we skip over fruit salads as hum-drum when we’re thinking of celebrations and parties and get-togethers. And I guess they can be. But not when they’re alive with color and flavors like this Holiday Maple Fruit Salad. It uses a wide variety of winter-time fruit like bright apples, pears, kiwis, sweet tangerines and even pomegranate seeds. Sometimes, I will even add some fresh blueberries if I have them on hand. Dried cranberries make a nice addition too.

We enjoy ours for Thanksgiving and Christmas but you could have a repeat performance for New Years as well. The fruit medley is served with a simple dressing of maple syrup and lime juice and what a sweet and yet tangy addition it makes!

This salad is so rich in antioxidant power, think of it as a delicious way to boost your immune system with every bite. And just think–it’s one dessert you don’t have to feel guilty about when you ask for seconds!

Happy Holidays from my kitchen to yours!
