Golden Sunbutter Shortbread Cookies
A crisp and nutty cookie you can cut into any shape, decorated with a creamy carob sauce. If you're looking for a sugar cookie for holiday cookies, look no farther!

Servings: 1 dozen
- 1 1/2 cup fine oat flour
- 3 tbsp Sunbutter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all the ingredients in a medium-size mixing bowl. Mix together. The dough will be a little sticky and easy to mold into a large ball.
Roll out between 2 sheets of wax paper.
Cut cookies into any shape you prefer. I made round cookies, but feel free to use whatever shape you desire.
Set cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown. Set aside to cool for a few minutes before decorating with our Fudgy Carob Sauce.
