Servings: 1 people
- 1/2 cup cooked brown rice, oatmeal or millet
- 1 banana peeled and split lengthwise
- 1/4 cup Golden Delight Sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh berries or frozen berries, thawed
- 1 tbsp chopped nuts, almond slices or unsweetened coconut optional
GOLDEN DELIGHT SAUCE
- 20 ounce can unsweetened, crushed pineapple including juice
- 16 ounce unsweetened peaches including juice
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp cool or cold water
MAKE BREAKFAST BANANA SPLIT: Use a small ice-cream scoop or ladle to scoop up cooked cereal. Place in a bowl and position banana halves on each side of the cereal scoop. Top with remaining ingredients.
MAKE GOLDEN DELIGHT SAUCE: Add the canned fruit and their juices to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. In a measuring cup, mix the cornstarch with cool or cold water. Stir until the cornstarch dissolves and you have a cup that resembles milk. Add to the boiling fruit and stir until thickened (this should happen within a minute or two). Stir in the raisins. And serve over the cooked cereal.
