Holiday Carob Balls

A fudgy ball for your next holiday celebration or party.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts ground fine
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup carob powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint flavoring optional
  • 1/2 cup additional ground walnuts (optional) for topping, if desired

Instructions

  • Grind nuts in your blender til fine or use a hand-operated nut grinder.
  • Empty ground nuts into a medium-size mixing bowl.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Form into small balls.
  • If desired, roll some balls in ground walnuts for a topping.
  • Arrange balls on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper.
  • Freeze for several hours or overnight.
